On August 17, 2024, 45 sailors from the Canadian Navy’s HMCS Montréal visited the Mái Ấm Tình Mẹ orphanage, bringing with them a spirit of volunteerism and warm hearts. They not only completed repairs and improvements to the facility but also brought joy and smiles to the children there. This meaningful activity was part of HMCS Montréal’s port call in Vietnam, leaving a deep impression on everyone involved.

Our team was proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the sailors, sharing meaningful moments together. Though we came from different cultures and spoke different languages, our hearts beat as one.

We also had moments of fun, singing, and playing with the children. All our efforts were directed toward one common goal: bringing joy and hope to the children. A simple lunch became a celebration of friendship and humanity, where charitable hearts met and shared.

Children Visited the Royal Canadian Navy Ship in Montréal
The Dan On Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Mr. Dan On. On a business trip to Vietnam in 1992, he witnessed many children soliciting in the streets of Ho Chi Minh City.
Moved by their plight and determined to alleviate their hardship, he decided to aid the Deaf & Mute Schools as well as funded the to teach them the skills and language needed to escape the vicious poverty cycle. The program has been successfully run by several schools and over 30 nuns. For this humanitarian project, Dan On Foods provide the funding to the Dan On Foundation with the help of donations from
our business associates.
We’ve been able to raise funos for the continuous support of disenfranchised children and disabled adults. In this and future endeavors, we would like to ask for your support and join hands to help build a brighter future for those on the brink of hopelessness.
