On October 9, 2024, the 20th Global Conference on Sustainable Manufacturing (GCSM) officially kicked off with a three-day series of events, co-organized by Vietnamese-German University (VGU), the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin, Germany), and the Fraunhofer IPK Institute, with support from CIRP, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Indefol, and Dan On Foods Corporation.
Held at the Vietnamese-German University, the conference brought together over 200 scholars, researchers, and experts from around the world to discuss the theme "Decarbonizing Value Chains." Representing Dan On Foods Corporation, Ms. Trần Hải Yến, QA Manager, took part in a talk show where she shared insights on how Dan On Foods' manufacturing plant reduces CO2 emissions during production.
Ms. Trần Hải Yến expressed her honor and pride in participating alongside leading experts in sustainable manufacturing. She highlighted Dan On Foods' ongoing efforts to create a green ecosystem at its factory, contributing to national sustainable development goals and protecting the environment during this peak of technological advancement.
In addition, Dan On Foods Corporation proudly showcased their nutritious, high-quality products such as granola nutri bars, mixed nuts and banana chips. These products are made at the Dan On Foods factory, which uses alternative energy from solar panels to reduce CO2 emissions, safeguarding both the factory's environment and the surrounding community.
On the final day of the conference (October 11, 2024), the visitors from Vietnamese-German University and top experts had the opportunity to visit the Dan On Foods Factory, located in the Mỹ Phước 3 industrial zone in Bình Dương, one of the country’s key industrial hubs. During the visit, experienced staff guided the guests through each step of the sustainable manufacturing process, showcasing how the company ensures the highest product quality for consumers.
Additionally, Dan On Foods Corporation has a strong partnership with Vietnamese-German University, offering internships at the Dan On Foods Factory and supporting research projects in areas such as machinery, technology, and IT. Whether through academic collaborations or sponsorships, Dan On Foods remains committed to fostering intellectual growth in today’s youth and enhancing the quality of life for future communities.
